Hassaan Mahmud

Hassaan was called to the bar in 2023. Hassaan graduated from Western University with a BHSC (Hons.), obtained his LLB from the University of Leeds and completed his Master of Laws at the University of Toronto. While in law school, Hassaan was involved with Streetlaw, empowering school-aged children with legal information and the Welfare Appeals and Tribunal Clinic, where he represented vulnerable clients with their appeals for welfare benefits. Hassaan was also the student representative for his cohort in the staff-student forum and achieved a semi final finish in his law school's debating competition.

Hassaan joined Jamal Family Law in 2026. He previously worked at full-service firms practicing in the areas of family law, civil litigation and criminal defence. Hassaan's broad experience has equipped him with the skills to assist varying client needs. Hassaan has represented clients in the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario and Small Claims Court.

Hassaan is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and the Advocate's Society. Outside of the office, Hassaan enjoys travelling with friends and family, playing sports and immersing himself in the diverse restaurant and café scene in the GTA.
