Fadwa Yehia

Fadwa Yehia is an Associate Partner at Jamal Family Law. She attended York University where she obtained her Honours Bachelor’s degree in political science and humanities. Fadwa completed her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and received a special designation in international, comparative and transnational law.

Fadwa was called to the Bar in 2004 and practices in all areas of family law, with a special focus on child-related matters including cases involving parent-child contact problems, jurisdictional complications, mobility disputes and international abductions.

She has represented clients at all levels of court including the Ontario Court of Justice, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Fadwa is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Advocates Society, and the Arab Canadian Lawyers Association. She also served several years as the Vice President of the Board of Directors to the United Nations Association in Canada, Toronto Region Branch.

Fadwa has lectured and written about issues pertaining to marriage contracts, occupation rent, and jurisdictional provisions in non-Hague removal cases.
